De los 284 acuerdos de comercio actualmente en vigor en todo el mundo, 57 incluyen países sudamericanos y 38 incluyen naciones centroamericanas, lo cual ha tenido como resultado acuerdos comerciales con una cobertura de más del 80 % de todo el comercio en América Latina y el Caribe, según las cifras de la Organización Mundial de Comercio (OMC).

From the 284 trade agreements currently in force around the world, 57 include South American countries and 38 include Central American nations, which has resulted in trade agreements with more than 80% coverage of all trade in Latin America and the Caribbean, according to figures from the World Trade Organization (WTO).
